Naturally occurring in many fruits, Tartaric Acid is used as an acidifier, flavouring agent or preservative in the food industry. Tartaric Acid can be added to soft drinks, fruit juice, wine, confectionary and syrups to provide an extra sour note and is often used in conjuction with Citric and Malic Acids.
