Well winter is certainly upon us now and sinking its teeth in, but at Florentia we're not battening down the hatches and hibernating, instead we're kicking off the season with a bang... and a whole bunch of new things!!
First, new thing that you'll notice is our brand spanking new website! After much hard work, we're very pleased to welcome you to our fresh new site!
We're very excited about this for two reasons... for one this journal! Here we will be able to share with you all - recipes, tips and tricks to help you with your business whether it be from manufacturing processes, to technologies, new products or even merchandising as well as flavour ideas and info on any of our new products as they come to market.
Secondly and perhaps the most exciting aspect of our new site is our online store! With a new collection of products designed for professionals and home chefs alike, we're bringing the joy of gelato making home as well as professional ingredients to get your culinary creativity fired up! Some other new developments that you'll notice whilst perusing our catalogue is our range of new clean label gelato and sorbet bases, called 'Aperio'. We love gelato and are constantly looking for ways and ingredients to make our favourite treats become healthier and delicious indulgences that we can enjoy more often! Taking it's name from the Latin meaning open, disclose and clear, Aperio bases contain only wholesome natural ingredients, no modified starches or thickeners whilst still providing a delightfully smooth texture and structure to withstand being mounded high in the display cabinet.
